The 60's surf rock influences that give Rusty Shipp the title of Nautical Rock 'n' Roll are on full display like never before in "Detonator." Drenched in reverb and driven by surf drums, this is Rusty Shipp's fusion of grunge and surf rock at its most definitive moment. Similarities can be drawn from modern surf bands like Daikaiju and Los Straitjackets as well as the forefathers of surf like Dick Dale and The Ventures.
